THREE CENTRAL ASIA NATIVES SENTENCED FOR PROPAGANDA OF TERRORISM IN OMSK
The district military court in Omsk sentenced three residents of one of the Central Asian countries to prison terms ranging from two to ten years for publicly justifying and promoting terrorism. According to the representative of the FSB of Russia for the Omsk region, one of them was also sentenced for aiding terrorism.
The convicts A. Urozboev, M. Tulashev and M. Abdurahimov are residents of Omsk and citizens of one of the countries of Central Asia. Their criminal activities were cut short as a result of the operational and investigative measures carried out by the FSB with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the support of the SOBR of the RosGvardia department in the Omsk region.
As part of a clandestine radical terrorist cell, the convicts promoted terrorism among their circles and persuaded others to leave for countries with high terrorist threat. “The intentions of the defendants to leave Russia in order to join the ranks of international terrorist organizations, the Taliban and Daesh (banned in the Russian Federation) have been documented,” a FSB representative noted.
