Explosions hit Iranian natural gas pipeline
Multiple explosions took place on a natural gas pipeline in Iran, as reported by the Associated Press.
The manager of Iran's Gas Network Operations Control Center Saeed Agli stated that the explosions in several sections of the pipeline were caused by sabotage and terrorist activities. However, he did not mention any potential suspects.
The explosions took place on a gas pipeline running from the southwest province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari to the north towards the Caspian Sea, spanning approximately 1270 km in length. The agency notes that there are no known insurgent groups in this province.
Local media report that no injuries occurred as a result of the explosions, and gas deliveries across the country continue as usual. However, currently gas is not supplied to the districts near the explosion site.
