20 Syrian soldiers killed in IS attack

Twenty Syrian soldiers were killed in an attack by IS militants on a bus in Deir ez-Zor governorate. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the Syrian security agencies. Ten people were reportedly injured.

According to the agency, IS militants ambushed a bus with military personnel in the Badiyat al-Mayadeen desert.

IS has previously claimed responsibility for an explosion in northwestern Pakistan.
