Afghanistan urges foreign diplomats to resume activities in Kabul

Acting Foreign Minister of the Interim Government of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi at a meeting with diplomats of several states in the capital of Qatar, Doha, called on them to open diplomatic missions in Kabul and resume activities. This was reported by Tolonews TV channel.

 

The meeting was attended by ambassadors and other diplomats from the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia and Italy. The acting head of the Afghan Foreign Ministry briefed the participants on the situation in the field of economy, politics and security, saying that diplomatic representatives could resume their activities in Afghanistan in order to see the realities on the ground.

 

Supporting this call, the head of the political office of the Afghan administration in Qatar Suhail Shaheen said at the meeting that some media reports on the situation in Afghanistan are contrary to reality.
