Communiqué on the 20th International Meeting on Syria in the Astana Format

The communiqué of the 20th International High-Level Meeting on Syria in the Astana format stated that the guarantor countries are firmly committed to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria, as well as to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter.

The joint communiqué says that the guarantor countries are determined to continue working together to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and stand against separatist agendas aimed at undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. They condemned activities of terrorist groups and their affiliates in Syria, as well as the illegal extraction of Syrian oil.

The parties condemned the ongoing Israeli military attacks in Syria, considering these actions as a violation of international law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

There was a call for the international community, the United Nations and its humanitarian agencies to provide more aid throughout Syria and implement projects for the quickest restoration possible.
