Participants of the EAG Member States’ Forum called for coordination in the fight against terrorism
Kazakhstan has hosted the II Forum of Parliamentarians of the EAG Member States. The participants of the event adopted a final declaration, advocating the coordination of efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, the radicalization of youth and the substitution of traditional theological values.
“The Forum calls on the EAG member states to take measures to harmonize approaches to legislative regulation of combating regional risks of financing terrorism and extremism, as well as countering the radicalization of youth and the involvement of non-governmental non-profit organizations in illegal activities,” the declaration says.
The event was attended by delegations from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India, Armenia and other observer countries.
