Taliban special forces eliminated a major IS commander in eastern Afghanistan

The special forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan eliminated a high-ranking Islamic State commander named Turab, along with his accomplice, during the operation in the eastern province of Nangarhar. This was reported by Ariana News.

The operation was carried out in the village of Vuch Tangi, Shiva district in the eastern province of Nangarhar, provincial officials confirmed.

As reported by EADaily, the Taliban government regularly claims that IS is not a problem for Afghanistan, and the few cells of the group do not pose a security threat and are successfully destroyed.
