Iraqi forces capture IS "Top Assassin" in Baghdad

The Iraqi Al-Hashd ash-Shaabi (People's Mobilization Forces) militias announced the capture of an Islamic State (IS, banned in Russia) militant who used to be the group's “top assassin”, near the al-Tahaddi checkpoint in northern Baghdad, reports Shafaq News.

The arrested man was in charge of the assassination unit when IS took control over parts of Iraq in 2014.
