Participation in the Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO Member States
On July 24, 2026, a delegation of the SCO RATS Executive Committee headed by Director U.Z. Sharsheev took part in the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member States, which was held in Cholpon Ata (Kyrgyz Republic).
The participants of the event focused on preparations for the meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States and the SCO Plus summit, which will be held on August 31 - September 1 this year in Bishkek as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
In addition, topical issues of the SCO's activities were discussed, including the implementation of agreements on the establishment of a Universal Center for countering challenges and threats to the security of the SCO member states and the SCO Anti-Drug Center, as well as prospects for strengthening cooperation with international and regional organizations. In this context, it was pointed out the need to develop cooperation with SCO partners in the fields of security, artificial intelligence, transport, energy, climate change and other areas.
U.Z. Sharsheev, Director of the SCO RATS Executive Committee, noted in his speech that, despite the general decrease in the number of terrorist attacks in the world, terrorist and extremist threats are becoming more complex. International terrorist organizations actively use digital technologies, artificial intelligence, social networks and cryptocurrencies to recruit, finance and coordinate activities, which requires further strengthening of practical cooperation between competent authorities and adaptation to modern realities.
The participants were informed about the programs and measures adopted within the framework of the SCO RATS in the field of combating the "three forces of evil" emanating from terrorist, separatist and extremist formations.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
