Rakesh Kumar Verma

Rakesh Kumar Verma was born on November 22, 1964. Не is a native of the Republic of India. He did B.A. (1987) and M.A. (1989) from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi and in 1995, he received Ph. D. in Russian Language from State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S.Pushkin in Moscow.

Since August 05, 2022, Rakesh Verma has been working as Deputy Director in the Executive Committee of SCO RATS, supervising the Department of Information Security and countering challenges and threats on Internet.

In 2001, Rakesh Verma joined Cabinet Secretariat and further transferred to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. During 2010-2013, he worked as Second Secretary in the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan and during 2016-2020 served as Second Secretary in the Embassy of India in Kyrgyz Republic. Since March 2020 to July 2022, Rakesh Verma worked as Director in the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. He speaks Hindi, English and Russian. He is married and has one son.
